A Second Career for the Barrelman

Ugh. What a terrible Opening Day. The Brewers fell to the Colorado Rockies 10-0 at Miller Park. About the only good thing to happen was the introduction of the new Barrelman mascot, seen here before the carnage started:

Good thing, too. If the Brewers keep playing like this, he may need something to fall back on.

Here's the full season schedule for 2015. I can't wait to see the Barrelman in person.

Who's Ready for the Brewers Opener?

Just was this early-morning tweet from Bernie Brewer:

Let's take a closer look at that photo. Click to enlarge:

Man, those sausage costumes are big.

Looks like the Barrelman costume is back to his original "M" chest logo. Wonder what's up with that.

I'm still tickled pink that the Brewers will finally have a Barrelman costumed mascot at Miller Park. The legacy of our Brews continues to live on.

The Barrelman Evolves

There seems to be a small change to the costume - when he was first unveiled, the Barrelman had a Milwaukee "M" across his chest, which has been replaced with his name.

EDIT:    I am told by a reader who was at Fan Fest that we're seeing two sides of the same costume. When originally unveiled, the monogram was on the front and the name was on the back. Now the barrel chest is being worn backwards, although we don't know if that's a deliberate choice or a one-off.
